Disney On Ice Brings Magic Back to Charm City

The cold, harsh icy winds of winter aren’t enough to stop the entrancing magic of Disney on Ice from returning this month to the Royal Farms Arena. Running from Wednesday, February 9th thru Sunday, February 13th, Disney on Ice presents ‘Let’s Celebrate’ will feature fourteen classic and modern Disney stories in one epic production.  Performer Alejandro Garcia, who plays Buzz Lightyear, recently chatted about the upcoming production.

“This performance is such a fun and magical show,” Garcia began.  “Audiences are going to love it! From classic stories like ‘Pinocchio’ and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ to Anna and Elsa from ‘Frozen’ and Woody, Buzz, Jessie and Forky in ‘Toy Story,’ audiences will absolutely enjoy watching the performance!”  Garcia continued, “We have 50 of your favorite Disney characters on the ice at one time! We’re super excited to have our favorite stories come to Baltimore!"
 
For the Monterrey, Mexico-native, this will mark Garcia's 3rd year performing with Disney on Ice.  “I portray Buzz from ‘Toy Story’ in the performance,” he explained.  “I have so much fun playing the character, as well as performing with my friends from the toy box – Woody and Jessie.”
 
Though being away from family while on the road can sometimes be challenging, Garcia’s excitement exuberates when discussing how much he enjoys performing for Disney on Ice.  “There are no words to describe how amazing this opportunity is for me.  I get to travel all the time, as well as skate with such talented performers.  It’s as if my heart is happy every day! I love watching the kids’ reactions to our performances in city after city and show after show.  Seeing their reactions fill my heart with both happiness and joy.”
